Devlog 1 - Progression
Recently, I've been working on obstacles, lighting, and art style. Here are some pictures of progression from day one:
Toonroll has a toony style of art, as in Picture 4. (Which is why it's called toon-roll.) In Picture 2, you can see some obstacles to roll, jump, or just run in between them. Note that in the final project, it might not look the same as in the pictures, as I will replace these meshes with my own assets, and focus more on level design later.
For the obstacle inspiration, I used Jumpverhuur's model on Sketchfab, Mega Stormbaan 70m S. I'm also using Advanced Locomotion System (ALS), found on the Unreal Engine Marketplace.
The game is very laggy, but I'll be fixing that soon, as well as bugs / glitches, and will be making more obstacles.
